I tried to imitate it with other wasabis many times, but its still completely different.\u201d<br \/>\r\nFresh wasabi also has healthy effects such as increasing appetite, relieving fatigue, and detox.<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"num\">The birth of <em>Wasabi-don<\/em><\/h2>\r\n<div class=\"article-img-small\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/goodie-foodie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/23042_03_230511_0056-1080x719.jpg\" alt=\"The birth of Wasabi-don\" width=\"1080\" height=\"719\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7427\" \/><\/div>\r\n<p>The owner of Kodoya wanted people to enjoy the taste of genuine fresh wasabi. This desire led him to create<em> Wasabi-don<\/em>. Due to wasabi usually being eaten as a condiment with sashimi or soba, customers tend to have some leftover wasabi. So he came up with idea of wasabi donburi, an easy way to eat all of the raw wasabi. Of course, you can eat it at the restaurant, but its thoughtfulness and simplicity allows you to enjoy it at home as well.<\/p>\r\n<h2 class=\"num\">I ate a <em>Wasabi-don<\/em>! Put the grated wasabi on the rice and say, \u201citadakimasu.\u201dThere is an important step, and its how you pour soy sauce over the wasabi. Note that the pungent flavor of wasabi is volatile, and will fade quickly. However, when it does, you can taste the sweetness of wasabi. The spiciness and mild sweetness of wasabi was perfectly balanced by the mildness of miso. Originally a well-known restaurant, it exploded in popularity after appearing on \u201cThe Solitary Gourmet.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p>I had always wanted to try <em>Wasabi-don<\/em> after watching &#8220;The Solitary Gourmet&#8221;.
